I was hiking in the arboretum about three years ago when I saw this fallen leaf positioned nicely on a tree trunk.

Nice image, Barb. The leaf contrasts nicely with the background and the color is good. Chet

Definitely was positioned nicely, Barb as well has having some fine color. The focus on the leaf is good, but (as a self proclaimed sharpness nut) I find myself wishing that the upper 1/4 was sharper. Could you have adjusted the viewing angle to improve that? Given your techs, a smaller aperture looks to have been challenging.

Barb, I will echo Chet and Mark. At your shooting specs, maybe being a little more parrallel with the leaf would add some more sharpness.

Beautifully composed, Barb, with some great textures and colour. Like Mark I slightly wish for more dof in this case and a leaf a bit less soft, but overall it's a very attractive image.

Hi Barb A beautifully textured leaf!! The vivid orange color works well against the dark BG. Agree with mark about the sharpness.

The colorful leaf pops on this BG Barb, nice detail within your DOF.
Great exposure & the centered comp works well for this.
