Spotted this leaf stuck in the crack of the wood fence. Light was fairly strong on it, but I liked the combination of the leaf and the strong shadow.

Nice "catch," John. Interesting image for the shapes, patterns, and colors.

Great job of seeing this John. The leaf stands out nicely and the size contrast between it and its shadow creates some interesting tension and says that this was taken fairly early or late.

Love your feel for light and shade here, John, as well as the nice detail in the leaf and timber. A personal preference would be for the L side to be sharp too, but this is a lovely composition, conveying a gentle mood.

Nice catch John  I like the shadow play and contrasts, and the textures.
