The Majestic Walk

A male Lion follows a lioness in a very majestic manner. We spent over an hour with this couple until the light was way to low. This image was taken during the recent Masai Mara photographic safari I led to this magical part of Africa.

Very nice profile of this handsome fellow, Mario. I'm trying to figure out if I'm getting a very subtle bluish/magenta tinge on my screen, but I like the look of him regardless. Is this the same image used for the monochrome conversion that I saw in the last couple days elsewhere online?

Mario,
Nice looking boy.
It looks to be a bit too red/magenta on my monitor?
I think it could also do with a little more walk into space

I really like the walking pose you captured Mario, but agree wight he magenta tint (I don't see the blue though) and also wish you have a touch more room on the right...but not much you can do when you are as wide as your lens would allow. Other than the tint, the techs look great.

Moving posture and your low perspective make this very nice. I, too, would want a touch more space on right if available. Color seems slightly magenta, certainly a product of low light photography and what is most "correct" would be 100% subjective, but to viewer not thinking time of day, I think a small shift to warmer would be better.

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by.

I too would have liked to have a bit more space but being a full frame this is impossible. There is a slight magenta tint which is due to the extremely low light conditions as Lon has pointed out. A bit of warming up will probably help.

Hello Mario

I am a little late on this fine capture. As mentioned by others , there is a slight ,magenta toning but does not alter the high quality here. Like the low perspective very much. . A Fine specimen >>Congrats..
Not too familiar with this big cat but see a ridge of fur that encompasses this big guy in rings , similar to back combing the fur ?
Also the toning on his lower stomach and privates is quite different from the other parts of his body ?

With the short cropped grasses, I thoroughly enjoy seeing all four legs visible and that beautifully extended tail

Thanks for sharing
