Mario,
If I was to be very picky I could say "pity not all the reflection is there". But I will not be picky this is a great capture of the "moment", and not the usual "yawning" shot :toast: :toast:

What a shot! I swear in almost every hippo shot I see there's beads of water flying all over the place, is that from him exhaling through his nostrils?

Wow! Brilliantly executed - the spray, the foam, the lighting - all to die for. If this were mine, I'd place the hippo lower in the frame, and forget about the reflection, which is distorted anyway.

This photo is unique in the very best sense, as well as a wonderful capture of the "moment". Love the detail, the clean background and the foreground reflection. Congrats. Richard

I just like the placement of the silty water... Ringing the eyes, in the mouth, etc. It's great. Like Ajit, I don't know if the foreground reflection does much for me, but it's very a nice shot as is.

Really, really nice. I would choose (if this is a crop and you have the extra space) less of the reflection in favor of more space above. I agree with others that this is brilliant timing with great effect.

Very cool and unique hippo shot Mario. Great to get all that water splashing over his head. Like the others I would trade more room on the top and right for less on the bottom. :toast:

Great moment captured in this one Mario. Love the action! I also wish less room on bottom and more on top, but it still works either way. Really nice work!
