Spotlight on the Bay

I took this image of the evening light on the SF Bay from the Berkeley hills, where I am privileged to live and to witness a different light show every day.

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques. I'm not sure about that patch of water in the foreground.

Canon 5d,M3. Sorry, for some reason I don't have the details on this one. I know it was taken with my 100-400 lens.

Kathy, nice light show. This presentation screams 16 x 9. Crop out the lower patch you mentioned and some of the black clouds on top and I am betting this would strengthen your light show. :toast:

Beautiful capture of the light. Don't really like that tree obstructed the best part of the view though.

Good advice from both Gary and Kah Kit. There is nothing you can do about the tree, but the crop to a semi pano would help.

I agree with the others, Kathy. The tree doesn't bother me. But eliminating the lower water area and bringing the sky down to a narrower rim of dark cloud looks really good to my eye.
Then, paint me green-- where you live is one of the best places on the planet. To get to watch the Bay… sigh…
