Up close on a parrot feather plant (Myriophyllum aquaticum), a bog plant in my backyard goldfish pond. Taken in early morning - dew evaporates quickly in our dry climate. Nikon D800, 105mm macro, 1/50th @ f/18, ISO 100, diffused flash. 1:1 magnification.

Whoa Tom. This is very, very cool. I love the water droplets on the tips of the leaves. The bokeh created by the water droplets is fantastic. Wonderful photo!

Eye-catching photo, especially the diffractions in the large drop. Puts me in mind of Christmas for some reason.

Tom,

A very interesting photo. The dew drops are sharply defined and the reflections in the large drop are nicely patterned. Well done..................Jim

Thank you, all. And yes Ronald, it makes me think of a Christmas tree, too.

I'm with Bill. This is a well balanced and composed b/w, but I am curious about the color. Anyway, I like how you have emphasized the dew as opposed to the plant itself. Good "out of the box" thinking :toast:
