i enlarged the picture but i am not sure i am doing it correctly. i appologize if this is inconvenient. so far though the tips have been very useful. i have some things to learn about post and uploading the photos. i will go to the hint section to learn more.
this photo was taken with a
canon eos rebel t5i
canon 55 to 250 mm telephoto lens
iso 800
exposure 1/500

any helpful hints about photo enlargement or resizing would help too. thank you all for so much feed back so quickly.

Certainly a detailed macro of his eyes. Nature is sure amazing! and you present it well in this image.

Yes, bigger is better, Justin. The eyes certainly have it in this image. Well captured. And yes, check out the information available under the "site tips" section under "galleries." Read the articles/info about posting images for the web and how to post photos at NPN, including sizing. There is also lots of other information on the web about how to resize images, sharpening for the web, etc. I use an Imac. If you do as well, let me know an I'll go through my resizing and posting process (not that what I do is necessarily "best." Most here are way more proficient than me when it comes to image processing). :wavey:

Was this at the 250 end of the lens? Seems a bit soft, with the eyes the sharpest part. If you haven't yet tried RAW, by all means begin shooting with it and hone your processing skills. Especially in macro, the details count.

I agree with the others. The image seems a bit soft with details in the hairs being lost. The eye colors are very neat to see. It always amazes me to see the details that are present in these boogers.
