My weekly dawn visit to the prairie for recharging the mental batteries. I find comfort and peace wandering in the early morning hours amongst the big blue stem. This from a small prairie close to my house taken September 6th.

Please view the large version.

This could be where I grew up John. Strong composition for my tastes and beautiful light and mood. I like the image very much as posted. No suggestions.

John, I like this image very much. The early light and fog mixed with the blue stem looks wonderful. Just the kind of place I would enjoy wandering around in the early morning. Larger version really brings out the beauty and mood you so much enjoy here. :toast:

Beautiful light and great mood. I really like the juxtaposition of the really nice and sharp foreground with the dreamy foggy back. I might consider cropping a little off the right to eliminate the partial bush on the lower right edge?

Lovely and serene, I can easily see why this is a favorite place for you. It makes want to breathe deeply, great big sighs of relief. Mural size would be just about right!

Nice, moody image, John. I like the light, and the color looks pleasing. I agree with Harley about the crop. This looks like a great place to unwind.

Lovely look at a foggy prairie, John. The transition from hint of sun in the foreground to fog in the distance works well. I agree with the idea of cropping out that one strand of goldenrod lrc. How nice to have a spot like this close by.

John, the thumbnail does not give justice to this fine image. The larger image is stunning. I like this one a lot and feel it does convey a certain amount of peace when viewing it. Well done.
