Well, I am trying to figure out the problem with my photos not being sharp. I appreciate all the comments and help so far, but I think I may have helped the problem by selecting sharpening in the export options in Lightroom. On my computer the images appear sharp. I have an account on Flickr and the images there appear sharp as well. When I post them on this page, the images are not as sharp...as you all have seen.
This is another image taken last week on Lake Michigan here in Indiana. I really do appreciate all the help!! I'm just frustrated as to why my pictures are coming across so soft. Thanks!!

Here is my Flickr link if anyone wants to see those images to compare quality. I'm just curious if anyone can see a difference.

2 commentsI took at look on Flickr at your sanderling images that you've posted here. I don't see any difference in sharpness with the images on Flickr and the images posted here for sharpness. That does not surprise me because pixels are pixels and the site they are on should not have any impact unless the site is doing some significant sharpening as a part of the process for upload/saving the image. The thumbnails on flickr look sharper but that is because they are small and you can't see detail anyway. I don't know what the issue is with the sharpness. I would start with some static testing of the lens/camera combo by photographing a dollar bill taped to the wall using all the proper technique and see if it is really sharp (and I mean REALLY sharp). If not, then it might indicate back/front focusing issues?
