Waited for a hummer to land on the nice yellow flowers or the deep purple ones, but no, this little one had to perch on the dead flower! Still enjoyed having one pose for a close-up.

Superb detail, John, and a nice pose. I really like the perch, though I do wish the foreground flower head weren't there. Great eye contact and bg.

Nice details and I like the highlight of the eye. I'd prefer to put more room above and below the bird.

Nice, John. The white on the collar looks just a little hot to me, and like the others I find the composition doesn't quite work. But the shot is terrific, with very nice detail.
