In the Arctic circle

Image made during my recent trip to the Arctic circle in Norway in Lofoten. I have been there for the second time this time in a slightly less touristic place and the walks and views were just marvellous with less people. Image made with Sony A7R and Sony Zeiss 24-70/2.8 plus Lee ND gradual and Heliopan polarizer

Maciej, For me this one is about the contrasting colour. Very nice. Good balance and interesting features as well. I do find the water up in the left half to be a little over sharpened. Draws me into that corner. This could be from re-sizing for web.

The composition caught my eye right away; it allows the eye to move just perfectly from the foreground, and wind around through the mountains, up to the clouds and sky. Very nice!

aah Lofoten love that mustard coloured weed exactly the same as it is on Skye. I am usually there when a liberal dose of snow is around. Is this a view of Selfjord taken from the road just before the two linked bridges that cross to Yttresand. It has that look about it and the water there is usually turquoise.

Ian great to read from you :) Indeed the yellow seed is similar to Scotland that is why maybe I loved it here ;) It is close to the mirror sculpture just a 1km or so from the bridge around Kleppstad :)

This photo shows that not every nice landscape photo needs to be taken in blue or golden hour. The light is still very pleasant and this made the colours pop nicely.

The colors in the foreground seaweeds and surf make a great lead into and contrast with the distant peaks and the low hanging clouds. It's a lovely scene.
