Fantastic reflection and amazing details for how dark it is. Nice balance overall.

Love the mystery created by the clouds. I would have parked myself there too

Nice composition, Daniel! You might consider bringing up the high values in the reflection and the trees. At least to me, those areas look a little dark. I really like the mountain and the clouds.

Much of the image including the reflection is way dark/muddy in what I've posted. Here's more what I had in mind:

I like the repost a lot better, much better tonal contrast.
Very nice clouds you had, the kind one wishes for....
I would love to see the color version.

The repost is right on the money, Daniel. I really like the clearing clouds and the wave behind the peak. Bringing up the foreground reflection and lake was just the ticket. I also like the middle ridge of timber, which makes a sweet diagonal to lead the eye to the snowfields and shrouded mountain top. I reckon I could make camp there for a few days. Very nice work. :toast:

Unique comp and quite dramatic. The darks maybe seem a bit underexposed.

What an amazing vista; I could sit here almost forever!
Overall, this looks pretty dark to my eye, and maybe that's how it was on-scene... The repost looks better. But I can't quite make out what is going on in the bottom third of the frame. I'd say keep tweaking, esp. the darks? This image deserves to shine!

Great combination of mountain drama reflection; I like the way the rocks mix with the reflection too.
