Green Heron - Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center Port Aransas,TX

EOS 5D Mk3 70-200(140mm) f/2.8 1/500 ISO 400 08-11-2014

Green Herons here are not skittish. This guy posed for ten minutes at less than ten feet away. I like the way other landscapes elements came into play: light, water, background fog.

Cool image and nicely seen. I'm wondering what a vertical would have looked like. The whole left half of the photo is wasted space - but a vertical would keep the eye engaged
