Snorkeling Inca Dove

D800 600mm ISO 400 1/3000 F8 Tripod

This was not the start of a bathing submersion by this Inca Dove, nor do I suppose it was a drinking pose. Really not sure what it was doing, looked as if it was searching for something at the bottom of the pool.

Interesting behavior and an excellent choice of crop, Bob. A nice low angle and both doves are nice and crisp.

Cooling off? Whatever, the pano is a good choice and the doves are in good detail. I like the low angle of attack as well.

Nice perspective on whatever this activity is Bob  I love the comp and the very nice details you brought out in both doves. Very well done. :toast:

I really like these little Inca Doves and only get to photograph them when I go to Texas once a year. I like the behavior in this image Bob....feels like they are taking turns getting a drink.
