Another Redwood image from my June trip. This is among my favorites. The juxtaposition of elements drew me to it, and the soft light and layering added a little depth. C&C always welcome...

Gentle giants next to such small plants... This is nice, and I can easily see why this would be a favorite.

I agree, Joe, this is wonderfully quiet and inviting. The Rhodo blooms sparkle nicely.

Excellent exposure. It's so difficult when bright sky shows behind shaded forest interiors. In this case, the sky is subdued, and not distracting to my eye. The bright rhododendron (?) flowers and foliage contrast nicely with the somber tree trunks. Good work.

Nice one Joe! Of course, the whole 2 or 3 years I was living just up the road, the Rhodies never performed...

I wasn't expecting there to be any rhodies at all Stan, I thought they would have been done by late June. I was pleasantly surprised!

Nice mood and a nicely balanced composition. I like the soft light and the bits of red add a splash of color. Nicely done!

Joseph, I do like the interplay of the mighty trunks together and the delightful blossom and foliage. Very appealing work to my eye.
