I titled this 'Out of the Chute' because the Honey & Bumble Bee both disappeared down the large pumpkin flowers center, then came up & out together quickly.. I think the big guy was trying to beat the little guy back with his left wing

An interesting gathering and wonderful timing here on this photo, Howard. This is a nice poster shot for the plight of the bees world wide these days. The colony collapse disease is very serious and is a major problem for growers throughout California overall. In fact it's so bad here in So Cal we have bee hive rustling taking place. To compound the problem apparently the prosecution is almost nil as a result of law enforcement trying to understand the industry and bee hive markings and ownership rights.

Anyway, did not mean to get off track there, but this shot is really quite timely. I love the yellows throughout, my own favorite color, as well as the amazing detail in the larger version. The bumble bee looks like a honey bee on steroids. Quite a significant comparison shot between the two sizes........very nice.....

Neat catch of the two bees with great details in them and the flower, Howard. I also like how the flower petals angle across the top of the frame. I watched (with astonishment) a similar action a couple of days ago where a skipper butterfly crawled into a morning glory flower only to have a big bumble bee come in afterwards and literally scoop out the bf. (The bumblebee looked like a dog digging a hole!)

Looks like a photo for a children's book, Howard. You know. Which bee is BIG? Which bee is little? Well timed image with good color and detail.

You are the Master, my friend. A few million more hours on the mono and maybe I can capture what you are able to on an extremely consistent basis. Extraordinary.
