Hi Everyone! This is a brown-headed cowbird perched on a fence post that I photographed in our yard. I know cowbirds are pretty common, but I thought it looked really nice perched here with the end of the barbed wire twisting down.
We have a LOT of birds around our new place and I try and get out with my camera whenever we are around and the light is good. I can't believe I missed all the baby bluebirds!
My next goal is to get a picture of an Eastern Kingbird that has been hanging around near the lake (we live on a peninsula). My family and I had never seen one before this year and I think it looks really cool in flight.
Thanks for looking!

4 commentsps.: Yes, the Kingbird is a worthy foe. I have one that always shows up when the camera is in the house
