This was taken during the peak of the summer wildflower bloom near Mount Washburn in Yellowstone. Certainly one of the best displays in
recent years. Who says Yellowstone is just for wildlife photographers?

Thanks for any helpful suggestions, please see LARGER!

Zack, What a beautiful scene!! I like your comp very much and you really have some wonderful light and color here. Looks like the wildflowers really put on a display and you captured it beautifully. :toast:

WOW, this is absolutely gorgeous! Can I ask what focal length you used and was this sunrise or sunset? :toast:

Well done, excellent exposure throughout the image. I really like the purple flowers in the lower left and how the valley flows out to the horizon.

Stunner! The wedge of flowers and valley below is pretty breath taking. Fantastic sky to match. The distant valley and hills appear a little washed out compared to the FG. Maybe darkening those areas or increase the blacks in those cyans or blues might be worth a try. Expansive view, outstandingly rendered.

That's quite a wildflower display. Would not have guessed Yellowstone.

The most distant mountains/valley maybe look a little light compared to the sky. The right side blend looks more plausible.

Very nice, Zack. Love the expansive view from Mt. Washburn. What a display of wildflowers. Did you clone out all of the bears, bison, and wolves? More importantly where did you hide the tourist  Seriously, beautiful take on Yellowstone. I think I agree with Tony about the left background being a hair light, but sweet as is. :toast:

Awesome view from Mt. Washburn, Zack. Didn't know that the Balsam Arrowroot grew up there. I tried Arrowroot shots near Elk Creek in early June, but those hills don't get direct sunlight for the first hour or so. This works much better with earlier light and a great view across the area.

Very nice, Zack. The flowers look great. I agree about the lightness of the in the left background. Nice job with the blend.

I like it! Alot. Flowers are pretty good this year. What does the other side look like? The lupines are were quite fantastic in the Lamar too. This side of Washburn requires an early morning jaunt and you hit it just right. Great looking shot Zack. Congrats.

The distant purple mtns draw me into the beauty of this. The wildflower field and valley floor invite one to keep moving towards to see that final light. Well done!

Killer shot... love the matching yellow above and below. I do agree with some of the comments that the horizon blend might be too harsh, with the distant mountains appearing almost lighter than the sky.
