Trillium with visitor

This is my first post on this forum. Trying to improve my flower photography. I see this as an environmental image of a Trillium.

Nikon D700 Nikon 70-200 F6.3 1/250 ISO 200 w/ Canon screw on close-up lens attachment

Comments and critiques please as I add to my flower image skills. I darkened the forest floor around the flower slightly.

Thanks for the input

Andrew

Lovely image, Andrew - and so nice to see the flower in its environment. The whites are beautifully captured and the bee is a real bonus. Despite liking the presence of the bg I might just soften it a little, as it is pretty busy, but this is nice as is. Hope to see more from you !!

Nice comp with good detail. I like the position of the bee next to the flower. Very nicely done!

Well done Andrew. The bg is natural and goes well with the Trillium. I wouldn't mind seeing it selectively blurred, more to help separate the subject than to change its busyness.

Andrew - Welcome to the Flora Gallery

Great to see the inclusion of the habitat along with the Trillium growing in the wild. I like the composition with ample space for the flower to look into. The Bee certainly adds another point of interest but even without it, this would be an excellent flora photo :toast:

This is neat, Andrew, with excellent dof on the flower. The sharpness and placement of the bee adds a lot. I think darkening the grays in the upper left would also help the flower stand out.
