From recent trip to Alberta's fantastic K-Country. I observed this black bear from my car for quite a while before it seemingly turned the tables and sat down to observe me before sauntering off into the woods.

Cute bear, he really appears to be curious about you. I'm not too sure about the composition here, one the one hand I like the inclusion of the little spruce in the upper right, but I think I might prefer more space in front of the bear and less behind. Have to admit, have lived in Alberta for 25 years but haven't made it to Kananaskis yet...!!!

Nice capture of this cute guy. Black bears are notoriously difficult to expose correctly. While the body looks a bit dark, the face area has good detail. Love those eyes.

That's a fine looking bear, Brad, in a great setting with all the flowers staring very intensely at you. The larger version starts to let some of the details in it's fur show up, which is a good improvement.

Large version looks pretty darn nice. I, too, wondered about the composition, but I would not want to lose the flower accents on the left or cut the little spruce tree on the right. It is a little too bad about the small out of focus brush in lower right, but there was clearly nothing to do about that.
