Continuing my theme of "r"'s shots here is a Grant's Gazelle (one of the Antelopes generally found only in the more Northern areas of Africa, although I have seen it as gar south as Ruaha, in Tanzania)
This was taken in Meru National Park, Kenya.

EOS 1DX
200-400 mm F4 at 376 mm

You are working your way through all my favorite antelope species. I do love this antelope species. This is a young one. The older males have some impressive headgear. Grant's Gazelle's horns, while not the largest of the antelope species, have such a beautiful curve and textute. They are works of art IMHO. I like the unorthodox pose here. Good job getting the butt and face in focus.

Had to look twice at the thumb, because the white rump grabbed my attention...then I noticed the head. I like the pose and how well the Gazelle's colors coordinate with the landscape.

Jerry and Mark,

Thanks very much for your comments, in particular the appreciation of Africa's fine antelope :toast: :toast:
