Fence Line Runner

Yesterday while waiting for another hummer, or nectar sucking B-fly to appear, this squirrel made a fence line run. So another common Texas mammal, but at least it's on the move..
And fully aware of my presence, had its eye on me
F/9, 1/2500th, ISO 640, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4x @ 11:21am. Clear & sunny.

Hey Howard,
This Squirrel looks over the hill or maybe its just the fence line.
I like the Pano crop, it suits the subject perfectly. The darker green BG top with the lower shadows balance the squirrel against the weathered fencing. The two paws in the air provide the sense of motion.
Well presented . . . :toast:

Yep, I built the fence myself 16 years ago.. My first fence job too.
Placed the posts a bit too far apart, so the sections have quite a bit of sag.
But we're set back so far from any road that it really doesn't matter.
I think it gives it character Mike

Nice action on the squirrel, Howard. I like the aging fence.

Hey Howard,

The pose you captured here is interesting - definitely makes me think this little dude is escaping from something (or just trying to "get away with" something  ).

Cheers...

Nice action I like how you caught him mid stride Howard, a typical neighborhood setting. :toast:
