Taken a few days ago in light fog and soft morning light. We weren't expecting to find any Rhodies still hanging around so this was a nice bonus. A touch of sepia just for fun. Thanks for looking.

Strong comp for my tastes Bruce and I love the mood of it. I like it very much as posted including the sepia.

The only thing I might consider and hesitantly at that is bringing a little more brightness to the flowers. However, it might not work and this is gorgeous as posted.

Hi Bruce, this evokes the early morning quietness and soft light of the forest. I like the comp and opaque quality of the rhody leaves and flowers. I can’t put my finger on the washed out colors of portions (maybe sepia application)….mostly personal preference. That doesn’t take anything away from the comp and delightfulness of this. Well Done!

Nicely done. I like how the angle of the tree in the right flows with the branches in the front and the top right branches fill the image.

The brighter vertical section in the bottom center eventually draws my attention and curiosity about what could be there. Sitting here I feel small due to the angle of the branch and flowers and tree in the back right along with the strength of the near tree... I could be drawn into that light into some fantastical world. This definitely speaks to me.

I really like the mood created by the fog and the color of the flowers adds a nice touch to a fine image.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions so far I really appreciate it.
Ken-I hear you about the subdued colors. I even tried to help them out by applying a hue and saturation adj. layer but the slightest bump of the slider took them over the top. I think the opacity you mentioned is partly the sepia and that I did take the colors to the limit..
Pat-Point well taken. I actually was going to do a little work in NIK Viveza for that reason but somehow it got by me. I'll consider this one still a work in progress.

Love the soft look of this Bruce. The subdued color of the rhodies actually work well here, as they match the soft look of the image as a whole. Looking forward to seeing more images man. I had a great time!

This very moody. I love the soft light. I'd like to see the flowers a tad brighter. The composition is very nice.

Bruce, This has a very pleasing quiet, soft and moody feel that I quite enjoy. I agree with Preston that a bit brighter on the flowers might be nice but I like it just fine as is too. Very nice work!

The mood is just incredible. I would like to make flowers and leaves in the front stand out a little bit more.

Hi Bruce! I haven't been online in about 3 weeks and just saw this. It's a beautiful image. I love the light and colors. I especially like the comp and how you balanced the Rhodies through the whole image. Excellent work!
