Late afternoon, Badwater Basin, Death Valley

I was surprised to see the scale of these formations. From earlier photos I have seen I had gotten the impression they were much smaller. They are actually several feet across.

Three Raw exposures for DOF, hand blended in PS CC, processed in LR5, TK resize/sharpening for web. Canon T3i, 1/60 s, f/9, ISO 100, EFS 10-22 @ 10 mm, CPL

Please view the large image!

Seeking any and all advice and comments. Thanks in advance.

Very well done Ronald. :wavey:
Been to Bonneville Salt Flats and these formations are of another world.

Nice DV image, Ronald. The light is very nice and has given you some great texture. Good job!

Very well done. The perspective does a nice job of showing the wide open spaces stretching out from the detailed foreground. Real nice.

Fascinating. I enjoy the details up close of this natural wonder. It perks my interest as to how those puddle boundaries or dikes were formed. Nice distant cloud and light beams…a bit small…but seemingly difficult to enlarge in this comp. Nicely done!

I like the depth of this image and the way the lines lead the eye into the image.

You did a great job on this, and it looks much different than it did when I was there. Cool! They didn't have the flat areas in the middle when I was there; it was just sort of all rough. I like this, it's mesmerizing. :toast:
