Traigh Mhor, Harris, Outer Hebrides, Scotland

One of the most dramatic and dynamic sunsets I have ever witnessed. Taken on a Transient Light Workshop.

Canon 5DM2
Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L at 25mm
ISO100 1 sec f/11
2-Stop Singh Ray Reverse ND Gradient
Processed in LR5 with DxO Film Pack 4 plug in with minor touch up in PS CC.

Please let me know what you think since this was an experiment.

Eva, this is wonderful. You capitalized really well on the great conditions. The comp, color, and processing look great to me. One of my favorites of your recent portfolio. Congrats! :toast:

Definitely a tangerine dream, Eva. The comp is excellent, and I love the color. My only nit--a minor one, is the hot spot in the sky. Well seen and nicely done.

Very nice color and scene.
I might try to lift the dark sky in the upper LHC a bit.

Gorgeous Eva.

I love the sheen of the water and the sinusoidal beach. The mood is soft and silver - unusual for a sunset I think.

A bit hot but nicely composed and colored. I might try for some more texture in the water on the right side.

What a great collection of warm colors and moderate surf action.

Dramatic is the right word! This is a fantastic photo, my only (small) nit is the lights in the distance on the left. Maybe crop out some of them? Cropping out all of them would unfortunately ruin the comp.

I think I've been there. Just kidding, it is still just about my favourite beach in Britain. I have yet to scan my best from that wonderful evening on the beach yet but this certainly brings back some memories. Love the movement and line in the sea and the overhanging shelf of dense cloud. The right triangle of light may just be a tad hot but heh you are gazing more or less into the sun. I love the lap lines on the coarse sand too.

Hard to beat opportunities such as this wonderful scene, Eva. A wonderful site and captured very skillfully with the overall dynamic range taking place. Of course the resulting colorful sky is what makes it so appealing IMO. I actually like how the scene balances out between the various elements both near and far. Seems to be well structured there......

Beautiful colors, tones and comp Eva with nice details in the fore ground. I find the sky on the right a little bright but very nice as is.

This looks fantastic Eva, I have yet to visit any of the Outer Hebrides but this image is spurring me on nicely. Lovely sunset colours in the sky and reflecting off the sea. I like the swirling shoreline too.

The simple composition lets the color take center stage. My kind of beach time
