~~ Trinity River ~~
This is the Trinity River near Sylvan Bridge. Not a great bird photograph but shows the canopy of trees over the trinity and two bird species. The lone Great White Egret stalking the river's edge and a Cormorant with its back to camera on lone stump in rivers lower left.

I was shooting skyline shots and found this spot by accident. I will back soon with a little more telephoto power for some bird shots.

I like this massive canopy with its greenery, & the long view through to the other side where the egret is.
Great colors, exposure, and some nice reflections along the way..
'Break on through to other side' in the words of the late Jim Morrison:smile:
Well done & have a great weekend Tex! :wavey:

Looks lush and inviting. I'm on the fence with the stump, though. The color looks good, and I like the hint of reflected blue sky.

Love the light and the passage of water through the canopy.

I also noticed the stump and wish it was a bit more subdued (maybe darker). It seems a little at odds with the gentle, graceful mood of this.

Makes me wish I was back in Texas.

Thanks for comments. The stump has a netropic cormorant drying his wings with his back to camera..

Sure do like all of the subtle greens plus how the river disappearing into the distance reflects some sky. Very subtle and nicely seen.

Rick, I'm enjoying the quiet peaceful mood you captured in this scene. I like the canopy of trees and the nice reflections. Pretty cool having the White Egret and Cormorant in the same scene.

I like it Rick, although, it does require seeing the larger version to get the full details and the impact of the scene too. With that all said it works just fine as is. Nice work on this one.
