Clematis shot on a windless day with a black background. I used ties to get the rest of the vine out of the way to isolate this flower with a few leaves. The last little leaf was removed when I cropped to an 8x10 format.

The flower and processing are beautiful. The stem bothers me some and I'd probably darken the top one some. Gorgeous.

Sanjay - Lovely. I like the deep magenta color on this one and excellent micro details on the petals. It might be worth putting a 1 pixel white border inside the black frame to let us know where the frame really begins :cool:

Beautiful tones, Sanjay, and nicely composed on a very effective black ground. The petal textures really come through in the large version especially.

Ram: Agree. But, I don't know of a way to add a border in Lightroom. Not sure it's possible. Maybe time to get PS. :smile:

Pat and Gary: Good call on the stem. Here is a repost with the small stem cloned out.
