Otter Creek
by Nick Bristol
This is a picture I made last week on Otter Creek here in S.W. WI. It was made in the early morning light with fog and high water. It was tough coming up with a comp I liked but this one did work for me. It can be pretty hard going here in these conditions but I didn't want to pass up on this. I had several shots I didn't care for but thought it was worth while in the end. The highlights in the lower left water were quite bright and I toned them down some but didn't want to get an unnatural look so left them bright. Again, thanks for any thoughts you might have.

Stuart, I guess I don't see what you do in the reflection. The smaller file is the same as the large one. Just resized from 1100 pix to 720 pix and then a bit more smart sharpen applied. Not sure that did anything to change the look between the two sizes. I always appreciate your thoughts. Cheers, Nick
