This Female Grizzly has two yearling Cubs that she is looking out for. Seen here looking over her shoulder for possible intruders . This image has caught her in mid step, well balanced,... as she climbs the shoreline while the tide has receded.

Early Springtime, soon after the Valley Snow has melted.
Snow is still present in the higher mountain area, with rivers of snow melt visible and can be heard flowing down to the estuary.

One of your better shots, Bill IMHO. The colors are rich and the habitat is revealed very well. I especially like the outstreached back leg providing a good look at those claws.

Very nice Bill,
You captured a fantastic pose here and the wet fur, the expression on her face and those claws on the trailing paw are all superb. The framing I like and the environment adds a lot of interest.

Excellent mid stride capture here, Bill. A very natural look overall with the very wet or damp coat. Seeing the exposed claws on the extended rear leg adds to the portraiture nicely.

I just love the rich greens and browns here, Bill. The extended right leg, the head turn, the overall sharpness, and the way the bear is looking over its shoulder..... all are magical! :toast:

I really like the pose in this one Bill....especially the right hind leg as it allows the back claws to be very visible. Nice head turn from the bear and nicely placed in the frame.

Thanks everyone for the excellent feedback. This female was great to watch with her yearling cubs. She was so smart to protect them from the Big-Guys . Always aware of the surroundings and the snout picking up the odours of unwanted visitors very early , even before they were seen in the open.
She is in mid stride here but well balanced with that dragging leg.

I just can't add to all the positive input Bill, well deserved.
I can say this is one of the best posed grizzly shots I've ever seen..
