Have a Heart

Cedar Waxwing from April, redbud tree perch.
I liked the serendipitous small heart shaped leaf I saw in this one.
Cropped more than I would've liked to approx. 38mb's uncompressed.
F/5.6, 1/500th, ISO 640, 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4x extension & solid overcast.

Wonderful shot. Love the colors. Did you consider cloning the second intersecting branch out? :toast:

Good idea Patrick. The second branch does complicate a bit..
It's a toss up in the final analysis though

Excellent, Howard. Great detail in the Waxwing, not easy on those silky birds. Sweet color palette and those budding leaves match the colors on the tips of the bird's secondaries. Very, very nice.

An excellent job on this one, Howard. You really have a knack fro bringing out the plumage detail in this species. I love the little patch of leaves and overall comp.

Gorgeous shot. Nice detail in how the red in tail feathers echoes the red flowers.
