Ginger Hair

This is, I'm pretty sure, a Tree Bumblebee, seen feeding on lungwort flowers. The species appeared in England only a decade or so ago but is now quite common in the South and Midlands. It is distinguished by the mop of ginger hairs over the thorax; also the white tail ( which it shares with a couple of other species )

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 200mm, 1/125 sec @ f 7.1, ISO 400, hh.

Very nice image, Ian.

The only change I would consider would be to crop a tad of the open green space off of the top.

A very artistic insect image, Ian. I like the soft look, pastel colors, and curving shape of the flowers, and the bee is perfectly positioned in the frame. :toast:
