Good colors in this portrait. Nice BG as well. It does look just a tad soft to me, but not enough to be distracting. Thanks for sharing.

Stunning shot of a beautiful bird. Like the background and how the leaves frame the bird. :toast:

Thanks all
The perch worres me a bit as its growing above the pool and is completely natura.l Its about 4 years old and the trouble is all the species I have done on it are looking a bit boring as its on the same old perch every time. I feel loathe to change it as its actually growing !! We know each other well !!
Cheers

Beautiful image and nice perch, John. The English goldfinch is so different from what Americans call a goldfinch, but both are fine looking birds.

The English Goldfinch is certainly more colorful than the American Goldfinch...

A very nice photo. Terrific detail and razor-sharp. The perch may be old stuff to you but we don't see it so often here.

The bird is pleasantly framed by the leaves and branches. Love these kind of natural images ! Cheers, Hans

John,
Reminds me of my homeland, have not seen one of these for many years!
Great image colours are captured perfectly and certainly sharp enough for me.
