Flow

It is some time I do not post an image in the Landscape gallery... and here it is.
A rather classic and simple picture, but I was fascinated by the complexity and
power of the water flow in this mountain stream at the time of melting snow...

The image was taken in the Pesio Valley, in the mountains of northern Italy,
at moderate altitude (1000 m a.s.l.).

The large version contains, of course, more details

Medium format digital, Lens 4/210, ISO 100, f/16, 0.4 sec, tripod

Looks like a powerful flow. I wish there was more of the stream included. The framing feels a little too tight, especially at the top. The larger version is a definitely better.

I agree with Nancy Lea here. The comp has great details in the large view, just not enough of them. A little more river, rocks, and flow would help immensely for me.

Thank you Nancy and Gary for your comments! The attempt was to focus strictly on the
details of the flow but clearly the image does not convey what I tried to...

Very nice flow and detail in the water in this. I agree with the others about a little more back round detail to help hold the eyes
in the scene. Nice job though.

Ant, I do agree with the others and wish for a little more included in the view, but I really do like the detail in the water. The powerful feel and texture comes through wonderfully.
