Man vs Nature

This may not be an appropriate venue for this gallery, but it demonstrates man's challenges with nature. On Memorial Day, two other NPN Members, Charlie Van Tassel and Tjie Poo were with me photographing Peregrine Falcons on the cliffs in San Diego, California. Late in the day we observed this fellow attempting to get back into his kayak without success for 15 to 20 minutes. As it became obvious he was tiring, had no life jacket and had lost his paddle. We dialed 911, they patched us in to San Diego Lifeguards. Shortly after they arrived in a wave runner and proceeded to rescue this fellow.

Hello Patrick

Great Capture with your story. Lucky Paddler without a Paddle!

A good documentary type photo, Patrick. Thank you all for taking the time to help this person out, not everyone would take the time to get involved.

It is a great capture along with your story, Patrick. This guy was probably in a lot of trouble if you had not taken the time to help. Some amazing details in this image!
