My wife Christine and I discovered Christine Falls in Mount Rainier NP in 1998. We got a chance to revisit last fall. I'm considering a series of prints and would appreciate your comments/suggestions. Namesake 1 can be found here. >=))>

Hi Bill,

Nice place, and I like the comp. I do have two suggestions...

--Increase the contrast just a bit by reducing the darks and raising the whites--not much, though.
--Check the color: this looks to have a magenta cast.

I saw your image at ESS--it looks nice. Since you want to print a series, try to keep the color and dynamic range reasonably consistent across the images.

The two are so different that I wouldn't want to pick between them. Both are excellent images, they're just very different in terms of the feeling they create. I sure like the textures in the stone work here and how well the stones match the surrounding rocks. I like this as presented, but could also see cropping out the distant bridge at the top for an alternate take. There does seem to be a magenta cast to this one, especially when comparing with the Landscape post.

Hi Bill, glad to see you visit the NWest and share these. Looks great as a composition and lighting. Agree with Preston’s comments on tint and contrast. Nicely done.
