In 1983 Fungie, a wild Bottlenose Dolphin, choose to make Dingle, Ireland Harbour his home. Fungie has never been fed in order to induce him to stay or perform. He is just interested in playing around with the boats and with the swimmers who go into the water on the early morning tours. At $16 EU per person to go on an hour boat tour to to see him he has made the tourism industry a lot of money. It was quite hard trying to follow this guy under water, not knowing where he was, and where he would come up in a rocky boat.

This is wonderful, especially the open-mouthed sailor. Fun story to go with it. Nicely framed and I like the vignetting.

Far Out Karen,
The timing of this capture is pretty near perfect with regards to the action of both subjects. The unexpected expression on the sailor's face is priceless and you even managed a Gull in the top right corner. The larger version is a must see and really shows outstanding colors and details. There is needed a bit of counter clockwise rotation to level the far shoreline to make this composition 'Picture Perfect'.
Well done, Well captured and Way Cool . . . :toast:

Great moment. So this is a solitary dolphin? I find the side edges too dark for my taste, they distract me from the image.

What great interaction here Karen. Fungie is really checking things out like he wants to try on the sail and take it for a spin.
