Recent flood rains had the creek just short of flood stage.

Rick,
I like the creek and the treatment of the water a lot but I'm having trouble with the fg blur and the blurred leaves in the upper left. May just be me, I'll be interested in comments from more seasoned landscape photogs.

Rick I love how the water looks like and the black and white conversion. But I agree with Patrick on the blurred leaves

Love the stream, Rick. The comp works well too but I agree the OOF elements detract for me. Must have been quite windy.

I too agree with Pat Rick. This is a very strong composition, and I love the BW treatment, but do wish there was less blur (except the water, which looks great!).

Two seconds and you've turned Turtle Creek into a lava flow. Didn't realize they had volcanoes in your area
And I think the lava theme would work, just PS in some flames of fire where the vegetation meets the flow
Seriously, it's a great B&W conversion Rick.
I saw this in a dream.. I was fighting my way upstream
