Funnel Cloud

This was taken about three hours ago. The sirens were going off, but over our house the clouds were still scattered. I went out and to the west it was very black. I grabbed my camera and got away from the house and saw this. It was shot looking west toward the city of Scottsbluff. The city was blessed because just after I shot this the funnel started braking up and lifting before it got to the city. Several funnels were spotted, but I have not heard of any property damage yet. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

I removed a telephone pole that was right in the middle of the funnel

Boy that is ominous, Richard. I'm glad everyone was spared damage and injury. Stay safe out there.

Definitely ominous and nicely done. Are you going to start a new career as a tornado chaser?? The city structures in the front really tell the story well. Very glad to hear of no (or little) damage.

Wow. Richard, I think this is a great image. It has perspective and depth and it really tells a story. The buildings give a perspective on size. Definitely a keeper. Excellent!! Be careful, too. :toast:
