Like this version a lot better, adds a bit more 'context' Bill
Not your standard fly on a wall, the calla & iridescent long-legged fly share this frame beautifully :toast:

Overall, Bill, I think I prefer this version. I thought the first, more high key and abstract approach was very striking, but possibly the touches of texture in the calla leaf and on the spadex do offset the fly even better. The fly is perfect !!

I much prefer this version. Nicely executed.

Bill,

I prefer this version too. I like the more solid appearance of the fly. This reminds me of a drawing in Suzuki's "Zen Mind Beginners Mind" that I've enjoyed over the years. The fly has lot's of presence. The only thing I might consider is a square crop to better emphasize the fly. I like the image.

I prefer this one Bill. I think the more tamed look to the pistil works better for me. I would still clean up the dark spots on the bottom front of the bloom if you could.

Hi Bill, still beautiful style. Excellent flower photo. The fly? At the first moment I was thinking that the fly is on my screen. Well done.

Bill

This version wins hands down! What a perfect white textured bg for this fly. Also like the faint shadow of the fly on the petal. Many thumbs up :jump:
