Black-throated Blue Warbler grabs and insect. Many Warblers migrated through the New York area these past few weeks. Nikon D800, 500mm f4, ISO 500, f5, Shutter 1/500. Thanks for looking, comments and critique welcomed. Ray

Really nice capture. Love the background and the beautiful bird.. The techs look spot on. If I had to nit pick something, it would be the small short branch in front of the bird's head. Certainly not a show stopper, just wish it weren't there. I might try cloning it out.

Excellent details, exposure, and natural color, what a beautiful warbler.
Easier to see the tiny insect going down its throat in the LP, great moment Ray..
Well done! :toast:

Very cool, Ray. Neat action and a great bg. The branch behind the bird is a bit unfortunate, but it would be difficult to remove without making it obvious.

Lovely bird and BG colors but I am finding all of the twigs quite distracting.

Gorgeous bird with a great calling pose Ray, the twig hanging just in front of his face is unfortunate, you could consider cloning it out, but it would be some work. :toast:

Nice shot of a gorgeous bird. I agree with Nate that the twig in front of the bird is distracting enough to make it worth the effort of trying to clone it out.

Wonderful shot, interesting background. (If there were no branches in front and behind the bird it would be even better. But, we photograph these birds where we find them, and they just don't act like models.) I really like the shot. :toast:
