Lily of the Valley

My Lily of the Valley flowers are in full bloom right now and spreading their wonderful scent! I find them hard to photograph "in place" so I cut a few flowers and leaves, arranged them in a plamp (has a spike on one end to put in the ground), and arranged the plamp to utilize some grass for the background.

Canon 60D. 180mm macro lens. F/7.1 for 1/80 sec. ISO 100. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

Especially sweet light, it makes the shot for me Carolyn.
Pleasing comp, you did a fine job arranging IMHO.
I do think you could get away with a little off the top, putting the flowers a bit higher in the frame.
Beautiful work! :toast: :toast:

Lovely processing. The green-on-green foreground/background really works well. Very nice composition too.

Lovely image, Carolyn. An excellent arrangement of a flower I remember fondly.I like the green-on-green with the white bells accenting it.

That is a nice presentation of these lil’ charmers. Well done! Blurred b/g accented by brighter center improves this.

Beautiful composition and tonality, Carolyn, with a nicely graded bg. Personally I like the way you've left a fair bit of space at the top - the whole image has a lovely, joyous airy feel to it !!

Gorgeous light and a fine composition. I agree that reducing the space at the top might make the image a bit stronger. Beautiful as posted.

These are one of my favorite flowers. The positioning looks natural and very pleasant to the eyes.
