Really digging this one Scott. Love, love the blossom, great pose and excellent job on the exposure. I do keep going back and forth about the BG. While on one hand, it is interesting and unique...I also find it to be a bit too much and is distracting form the bird and beautiful perch. I would love to see this with a different and smooth BG. Not sure if you moved your position to try it both ways or if that was even possible? Assuming the bloom was on an arm and what I am seeing is the main stalk part of the cactus.

Very nice image. The bird is sharp, the light nice and the perch is very good.

Love it Scott. Pose, perch and background are outstanding for this species. Square crop works here. I have a visit to the GWR planned in June. Your posts are adding to my anticipation. Dave
