Coming Storm

Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge in western Nebraska. I was there to use a photo blind on a sharp-tailed grouse leek the next morning and was going to sleep in the back of my truck. This large black storm from started to roll in from the NW with lots of lightening flashing everywhere. When your are sitting in the wide open prairie and a large storm front is coming it gives you a real feeling of vulnerability. It was a blessing that where I was just caught the edge of the storm with very little rain. I included my truck in the image to give a sense of scale. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

As a sky shooter, I like this. Nice composition/pattern of the clouds, and good detail and texture. It's a little hot is spots on the left side, but it is a very contrasty sky scene. I'd get rid of the truck - don't need it.

Extraordinary sky and great perspective.
I agree that the truck doesn't add anything.
Congrats on the WP!

Great storm lighting Richard. I wonder if a little bit of selective dodging might help bring up the textures in the foreground grasses just a bit.
