Egretta caerulea

It's been quite a long time since I posted an image. Life has just seemed to get in the way. Still out shooting when I can. Hoping that I am going to have more time to participate in the forum.
I really liked the light on this Little Blue Heron and the simple composition.

Good detail and pose in a simple composition. Seems flat to my eyes.

Hi Matt. Welcome back. I've missed your images and comments. I like the light and the pose in this one. The tones and still water evoke a nice early morning calmness.

Matt,
Welcome back. Life has a way of getting in the way sometimes. This is a really nice image. I love the washed out reflection. It works perfectly for me. Larger version shows good detail and coloration. Really nice. Can't suggest a single thing to improve this.

Nice feather detail for soft light conditions and I think this would work well as a vertical crop also. Good to see you posting again as I always enjoyed your bird images.

I like the comp with the reflection to fill the lower section. The filtered lighting adds a nice quality to the image as do the highlights on the Heron's side from the reflections coming off the water. I think you could use the linear preset on a Curve to pop it just a bit without changing the feel of the image. Nicely done.
