Well thought through composition and processing the light and colors. I might only wish to see a tad more contrast of those upper branches. Unique and lovely.

I love the dappled light on the branches, very well seen! Just a tiny thing, I find some of the trees in the background distracting my eye from the big one in the middle. On the whole, I love the zen feeling this one has

This photo reminds me of the drawings that are made to identify specific species of trees. I think some of that comes from the the warm high key processing. There is also something about this image that gives the tree a very human-like quality.

I love how the branches seem to be reaching out of the fog. Great mood. Very well seen.

A very interesting image you made here, Kah kit, and I quite enjoy it. Ben's thoughts on this go right along with my first thoughts as well. You really made great use of the fog and conditions for this capture.

I first thought this was a different look for you. But, then I remembered your work from Tasmania a few years ago. So, I wasn't surprised when I saw the location here. It's very nice, and the disappearance into the foggy background is great.

Magnificent tree portrait Kah Kit. When I first looked at this the word withering came to mind. The fog certainly adds to the mood. Very ethereal an beautiful.

Mysterious and translucent, the fog on my monitor shows very warm, heavy on yellow tones and I can not shake the feeling of smog instead of fog, I love the tree and composition. :toast: :toast:

Beautiful moody scene. I am seeing a kind of greenish overall cast that is throwing me off a bit, but otherwise, love the image..

Thanks for the comments. I tried a colour corrected version but it lost a lot of the atmosphere so I ended up sticking with the warm colour balance.

Very cool mood, and agree the warmer balance is a bit more organic and different. I think a BW might look good, but perhaps more traditional.
