Secret Bay

Here's an image from my honeymoon about 18 months ago. The site is Secret Bay Resort in Dominica and I took the image from a kayak. The building on the left is one of a handful of cottages they have built on-site amongst the trees in order to minimize their footprint on the site.

Nikon D300s 18-200mm VR @ 82mm HH from kayak
f/11
1/320s
ISO 400

Cropped to Pano, adjustments in LR5 and Perfect Effects 8

What place to honeymoon, Luke. Love the glow on the cliffs and the cottages look like an awesome place to stay. Very nice. :toast:

Memorable experience! And high bank captured here is both beautiful and scary…sleepwalking could be fatal. Warm colors and pleasant in the ‘evening-glow’ of light.

Very romantic place. The cliffs have a nice glow and the cottage gives the image a sense of scale. You might consider burning down the hot spot in the clouds a bit.

The glow in the cliffs is great, looks like a great place to spend some quality time. I interested in how the cliff on the left and the house seem tilted, while the cliff on the right looks fine. I've run into distortion like this at the wide end of my 24 - 70, but am surprised to see it at 82mm.
