The afterglow.

After sunset on the pacific side of Baja.
The sunset was disappointing and I almost went inside my tent when the Baja dust amped up the afterglow. I took this handheld, no time to get a tripod, just turned up the ISO and shot at F2.8.
Hardly any PP, no NR, just a touch of saturation, some banding unfortunately from compression, the Original is smooth as can be.

1/40, iso800, f2.8, Nikon 24-70 @ 70mm, D800, Handheld.

I like the simplicity of this, Dan. Beautiful layering and just very relaxing. Glad you got the shot, for me it works really well.

Effective and telling, I also would like to see this image 1 to 2 stops brighter, I have it in my head that maybe the impact of the shot would be more refreshing. :toast:

I love the tonal transitions in the sky here! Water seems maybe a little too blue, but have not been there. Nice, I like it!
