This little falls was encountered on a hike to the Kanarraville slot canyon. I was experimenting with SS, when this creature revealed himself to me.

Nice little waterfall. Beautiful flow of the water and I think the B&W presentation works quite well. Good work.

Beautiful B&W Gary. Nice range of tones. What software do you use for your conversions? I use Silver Efex Pro.

This is superb, Gary. Your composition is outstanding, with the lines of the rock emulating the flow of the water. Wonderful b/w tones; your b/w work is extraordinary.

Your B & W work is always extremely well done.
I would have preferred a bit faster SS for the water.

Another really nice b&w image, Gary. I like your comp here and how it keeps the flow in the frame. Like Dan, I might have preferred a little faster shutter speed with this image, but still it works very nice just as is. I really enjoy your black and white processing! :toast:

Thanks everyone for kind comments. Eva, I also use silver effects pro 2, followed by dodging and burning in Lightroom and Photoshop cc. The reason I stayed with this SS is it really brought out the shape of a monster of sorts with open jaws, teeth, and the eye (mid frame). Maybe I'm the only one that can see it.

Nice view, Gary. the shape of the river leads my eye nicely up the frame.

I am having a hard time seeing the monster you describe, Gary, but I swear I see others in there! I do get the impressio that this image is looking back at me. It seems very alive.
Nicely done.

Beautiful b/w as usual Gary. Almost makes me want to see a color version as well. Nice job.

Looks like it's time to get out of dodge with that lurker rising up mid-frame on the left. I may be seeing a different monster than you, since I see a head with separate eyes and a long pointy snout. Your shutter speed works well at letting the rock formations stand out.

I don't see the monster. But I do like your chosen SS and the conversion looks nice too.
