Someone had to do it. Guess it is me! This is a photo of birds but doesn't evoke the Hitchcock mood of his film. This one is much too benign!

Canon Rebel xTi, ISO400, 180mm, f/5.6, 1/1600 sec.

Taken at the Gray Lodge Wildlife Refuge in northern California several years ago.

I think Kurt beat you to the title but this is a very nice shot, Kathy! I love the dynamic sky and the reflected blue tones in the water. The exposure and the colors are right on the money and it's a nicely balanced composition that frames the flock of birds very nicely. The only things I would suggest (based on the large version) is some noise reduction in the sky and some sharpening over all.

Kathy, this is one of those shots that is out of my wheelhouse. I don't have any gear to try this one with. I see where Kurt also shares this movie title with this post.

I really like the layers, colors, and all around view of this scene. With all the movement your choice of shutter speed was no doubt an excellent one. The movie was one of Hitchcock's best. I actually worked with a person who use to date Tippy Hedren who went from staring in that film to a major animal rights activist.

I'm not much for horror films so I'm glad if your image doesn't quite "evoke the Hitchcock mood of his film". It works for this theme. . .but I do like the more serene mood of this picture. It almost has a painterly feel to it. Great comp with the arrangement of the grasses, water, trees, clouds, and the various positions of the birds. I also like all the varying shades of blue throughout.

All of the subtle shades of blue make this a very attractive look at what look like snow geese. It seems a bit dark on my calibrated monitor.
