Misty Morning Cypress
by Bill Leggett
I went over to Lake Martin for two reasons - one was to check the bird population at the rookery, which looks to be promising for the season. The other was to see if the Cypress were beginning to leaf out. Turns out that it was too early for the spring growth, but I found this scene a few minutes after sunrise. I liked the light fog/mist and the simplicity of the comp, with the layering of mist on the lake and the first glimmer of light on the grove with the foliage illuminated in the BG. Full frame.
